THE ALIEN

Splash! From the shallow waters of a lake

Came a sound as deafening as an earthquake

There was an exploding, flying saucer

That noisily crashed into the deep blue water

And a bizarre creature stepped out

Sporting seven greasy hairs, green fur and a body that’s boneless, short and stout

Speaking in a language that’s unknown

That said ‘Squeak, Blubber, Stammer and Groan’

Still, it repaired its saucer, so I assumed that it was quite intelligent

But as soon as it flew away, crash! I believe I was mistaken

It shook its head and tried to fix it again

We all thought, was it really sane?

And then it ripped off its turquoise scales

Why? To understand that, we all have ridiculously failed

And suddenly, a gasp of astonishment came in moments of sheer fright

As a true human face shone in the moonlight

We wondered, how had we been tricked

How an alien’s voice had a human stunningly mimicked

And then it spluttered in really unknown language, and bowed its head in amen

And that’s when we got to know, human face or not, it’s really an ALIEN!
