We all have such incredible friends

You might have a trusty sidekick or a companion that backs you till no end

They will stand by you in times of sorrow and joyous occasions

And assist you whenever you have a mission

 

My best friend is certainly unique, but perfect too

Amazing, but surprising to you

In my cupboard it sits everyday

For success, shows me the way

 

When I’m feeling frustrated or I’m not in a great mood

Tales comfort me better than anything, even more than sleep or delicious food

I usually turn to the works of Rowling or Blyton

Or the other classics, of those I’ve read a ton

 

Knowledge, it grants me the ability to quickly think

Or get answers immediately – in a blink!

Every time I spot a story, I read it with loads of joy

They interest me, keep me engaged and then I never miss to enjoy

 

Books are my faithful, wondrous companion

They just encourage me to keep me and they make my life extraordinarily fun

One of the most unique best friends they are

I know-that’s too high, now I’ve raised the bar
